      Nouns
- The word drink is the same in both English and Dutch, when you use the verb: I drink - ik drink.
 - However, for a drink in Dutch you say:

- It is the diminutive of drank which means beverage.

Verbs
"Drinken" is a very common verb in Dutch. But, be careful! "Drinken" is a strong verb with vowel changes in the past tense and the past participle.

Present The present has three forms

Past The past has two forms:
