The Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot is five days after the Day of Atonement, a seven day period of great rejoicing for sins forgiven and expectation of the advent of the kingdom age to come.
The scripture instructed the Israelites to dwell in a temporary huts (sukkah or sukkot) for these 7 days. It can be undertaken today in a campsite or a backyard gazebo or pergola or a special structure suited to one's own situation.
