Introduction to Media Studies/Representation
How the movie is represented to the audience AND How the director tells the story through use of camera angles, colors and lighting etc
In media studies, representation refers to how people, issues, and events are portrayed in media products. It's about how different groups or individuals are depicted and how these depictions shape audiences' understanding and perception. Media representation can be positive or negative, and it's important to critically analyze how different groups are portrayed to understand the messages and values being conveyed.
