18.04 Bluetooth not working "BCM: Patch brcm/BCM-0a5c-6410.hcd not found"

Question

I use a Dell XPS 15 and Bluetooth works under Windows.

Under Ubuntu, it can't find any devices, and it cannot be found. I'm not even sure if the driver is configured properly...

Any help would be appreciated!

Edit:

As explained here and there I installed the Windows version supplied on the Dell website with ndiswrapper. The installation went well but unfortunately, I now get a message saying that bluez daemon is not running.

It seems like my bluetooth device is Broadcom Corp BCM2045A0. However, Software & Updates / Additional Drivers doesn't find anything related to this and Dell's website only offers a .exe version of its driver. (I'm new to Linux so I might not be on the right track) — François Martineau, Aug 16 '18 at 22:14

Try downloading https://github.com/winterheart/broadcom-bt-firmware/raw/master/brcm/BCM20703A1-0a5c-6410.hcd and rename the file to BCM-0a5c-6410.hcd and copy it to /lib/firmware/brcm Then shutdown and boot — Jeremy31, Aug 17 '18 at 10:10
