Why would you want to do that? It could make diagnosing problems confusing. – Paddy Landau Mar 23 '12 at 16:57

How can that make diagnosing problems confusing? just changing the name and logo from system settings -> system info? – user51447 Mar 23 '12 at 17:05

I understand that the name comes from the command lsb_release, which could confuse someone trying to help you. But I am still awfully curious as to why you would want such a thing! (I would imagine it is possible, but I don't know how.) – Paddy Landau Mar 23 '12 at 17:19
