I got a window pop up onto my screen, and it said "Updated software is available for this computer. Do you want to install it now?" So I clicked "Install Now",which led to this window;

Check if you are using third party repositories. If so disable them, since they are a common source of problems. Furthermore run the following command in a Terminal: apt-get install -f

I know that this is a duplicate question, but I've looked and found no questions like this that are up-to-date or with answers
I have Ubuntu 19.10 on my early 2011 MacBook Pro.
