Whenever I try to use a package manager, like Apt, GDebI, etc, I end up with an error like
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/apt/lists/lock. It is held by process 25800 (aptd)
N: Be aware that removing the lock file is not a solution and may break your system.
E: Unable to lock directory /var/lib/apt/lists/
or something telling me only one manager can be used at once. I have tried https://phoenixnap.com/kb/fix-could-not-get-lock-error-ubuntu and many others. please ask if you need any more information.
apt
