MTP error while transfering files

Question

After connecting my android via usb cord when i try to transfer files from my computer to my phone it brings error can't write to this location.

After trying the solution suggested by ElderGreek I still get another error whose screenshot is below

Please refer to this answer to fix the error but if you have problems with slow transfer, refer to this related answer which suggests using ADB instead of MTP because it's faster. Another thing to consider would be to upload the files to google drive so you don't have to use a USB cable. — mchid, Mar 20 '21 at 09:10

@Rasheed Thank you for helping us help you. I've updated the tags accordingly. I've successfully transferred files using PTP from Android to Ubuntu 18.04 on numerous occasions. This answer worked for me and others. I used nautilus to do the actual copying. There may be a bug in gphoto that you are running into.
