I am newbie in Ubuntu please help me to configure my soundcard

Question

I am newbie in Ubuntu. I bought machine with OS Linux. It was Ubuntu 15.xx. My machine AVITA Celeron N4020 model NE14A2 SSD 128 4GiB RAM. When I purchased it there was a password for Superuser that I couldn't be retrieve. So I decided to change OS to Ubuntu 22.04. It works! But there is no sound. I try to fix it by any hint in forum but it didn't work. Until I got message like shown below:

@ArchismanPanigrahi I tried with this command in terminal: pulseaudio -k And then: lsmod | grep snd_hda_intel And then: echo "options snd-hda-intel model=generic" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf However it doesn't work. — muftie arief, May 15 '22 at 13:17

Hi @Jeff, thank you, I have tried it. However it didn't work. Maybe I installed Ubuntu 22.04 from previous Ubuntu 15.xx (the factory origin with superuser password that I couldn't retrieve) wasn't properly. I don't know what should I do now. Thank you anyway. — muftie arief, May 17 '22 at 11:59
