I have been using Ubuntu 22.04 for a month. I don't know why, but suddenly this happened and now I can't open Ubuntu. Please help, I am struggling since 2 days.

  • Also on mounting the partition it says Sorry, could not display all the contents of "71ab14c2-4F2a-4a54-bc84-89F65311c304": Error when getting information for file "/media/-ubuntu/71ab14c2-4f2a-4a54-bc84-89f65311c304/proc": Structure needs cleaning – vansh saxena Jan 15 '24 at 07:45
  • I am really new to ubuntu i don’t understand how do i do that – vansh saxena Jan 15 '24 at 13:01
  • Nobody is born knowing how to backup their data and then run fsck. This is your opportunity to learn. – user535733 Jan 15 '24 at 13:13
  • So i backed up my data entered ubuntu using my live usb and ran the fsck i think this is what i was supposed to do – vansh saxena Jan 15 '24 at 13:55
  • Even after performing fsck nothing changed still getting the same error – vansh saxena Jan 15 '24 at 14:24

If, after running fsck, you are still getting a "structure needs cleaning" error, then you did not run fsck completely or properly. Re-read the linked duplicate for advice how to fix "structure needs cleaning." If you need more interactive assistance, consider IRC ot UbuntuFourms, which are better suited for follow-up questions, tutoring, and one-on-one help. – user535733 Jan 15 '24 at 15:25
