I am beginner in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS & also in Linux as well, I want to install graphics drivers, but I don't know how can I do it.

My graphic card details is: "Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Sun XT [Radeon HD 8670A/8670M/8690M / R5 M330] [1002:6660] (rev 83)"
Can I install it in Ubuntu?

As of Ubuntu 16.04, opensource radeon or amdgpu drivers are included depending on the GCN Version. This is enough for most tasks including light gaming. However it is also possible to install amdgpu-pro which is a proprietary driver from the amd downloads page (http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Radeon-GPU-PRO-Linux-Beta-Driver%E2%80%93Release-Notes.aspx). But remember that this is still in beta and may break your system like it did mine which had a Radeon 8670M in which case an uninstall script is included with the installation files. This should be accessible via recovery in the advanced options in the grub menu and will uninstall the amdgpu-pro driver.

  1. Download old drivers. It's no use to download the latest one, because the kernel will say no thanks.

     wget --referer https://www.amd.com/es/support https://drivers.amd.com/drivers/linux/amdgpu-pro-18.40-673869-ubuntu-16.04.tar.xz
    
  2. Extract the file tar -Jxvf amdgpu-pro-18.40-673869-ubuntu-16.04.tar.xz

  3. Install using the most common command: ./amdgpu-pro-install -y

In my case I had Nvidia + Radeon, so it was more difficult indeed, but for Nvidia it was easy, just delete old drivers and reinstall with sudo apt-get install nvidia-455
