What is confusing to me is that when I tried "ping" method from the terminal, the server appeared to work just fine:
$ ping ppa.launchpad.net
PING ppa.launchpad.net (91.189.95.83) 56(84) bytes of data.

Can anyone help me figure out what is going on here?
