sudo service networking restart
sudo service network-manager restart

And the ifconfig command output as follows.

Best way to start running a dmesg command from your terminal. If you looks for red line, you will be able easily to find errors, try to find anything related to your wireless card, like missing firmware. Realtek Wireless often needs a firmware, try to locate the file name and if you are not able to install the file, edit your post.
