A general-purpose computer contained in a single panel. Its distinguishing characteristic is the use of a touch screen as the input device. Modern tablets are operated by fingers (and gestures), with a stylus is an option, whereas earlier tablets required a stylus.

Is it possible to load Ubuntu for a full computer onto a tablet (not a tablet PC) so that I could use open office or other software that I could use in Ubuntu on a full computer on a tablet? Thanks!
