I am currently getting a degree in Information Systems at University of Idaho. I am new to Ubuntu operation system. I have used Fedora in the past but only used it as I would in windows. I installed Ubuntu for a class project and am excited to actually get experience with Ubuntu. The only operating systems I am familiar with is Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8. And I want to get familiar with Linux and Ubuntu seemed like it would be easy for first time users. I like the fact that the LibreOffice is compatible with Microsoft word without much messing around. I currently have 3 laptops (Hp Pavilion Dv8, Pavilion dv6, and Hp Envy). I currently have Ubuntu on both of the Pavilions but the Dv8 is dual-booted to run Windows and Ubuntu.(Going through Ubuntu to partition the drive during the install was way easier than trying to do it in Windows, just my opinion). I also have experience with setting up a server and hoping to set one up with Linux when I get back home.
