Long-time Mac and Windows user (30+ years), but I don’t code or program at all. After becoming totally disgusted with MS-DOS, then Microsoft Windows, and retiring, decided to install Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on my 2012 ASUS K53E laptop in October 2016. Remain primarily a Mac user, but figured I’d explore Linux/Ubuntu. It’s been an adventure -- with frustrations -- but am learning. Experience so far indicates to me that Mac (certified UNIX®) is the most stable system, Windows the least, with Ubuntu Linux somewhere between.
