Hi, I'm wanting to be a MySQL Database Administrator. I'm going to get certified from Oracle University in MySQL DBA, but first want to setup a lab environment in my home for Linux with Ubuntu 14.10 32 bit on an Intel DG965WH motherboard. I have the installation disk, computer, some harddrives to choose from and I'm ready to install. But before I do I'm wondering if I should make this a RAID 1 mirrored server?

That's how I got started with Ubuntu and Linux. So yes I'm a newbie, but a capable one if I don't say so myself.
