Beach bum.

Took a few CIS courses in college despite being scared off by FORTRAN and COBOL Then they came out with GUI IDE's and I was like, whoa dude!

Have recently installed Ubuntu on four laptops, currently operating two multiboot laptops, both LTS and 15x

Also have LinuxMint and Xuntu and on one, two flavors of Ubuntu.

Had installed Kbuntu, which did not go well on my laptop -probably due to my ignorance. Still intrigued by the whole KDE thing but Gnome is my home.

First linux install 2001 (RH); two Puppy installs saved an old x86 laptop from trojan-induced blue screen of death.Attempted recent install of Scientific Linux from MD5-cleared Live ISO just led me to the bash-style Grub prompt, and a live test of Fedora left me unispired with Plasma. Thus, though still interested in following the KDE/RHEL/Fedora scene, I have made a commitment to stick with the Debian/Ubuntu branch of the Linux family tree.
