I am a professional musician, gamer and computer geek. I used to fear computers until a few years ago when I was given a device to be used with my computer to record music. Ever since I acquired this musical interface device, I have ventured deep into the world of computers and have more than embraced the free software community. I have a multi boot setup in my main PC with Ubuntu Studio 11.10, Windows 7, Backtrack 5 and Mandriva 2011. I enjoy learning and I am currently studying singing (the one area in music that I am not that good at), and I am also enrolled in two computer programming classes. I strongly believe that free open source software is the way to make true progress as we are not restricted by what we can and/or cannot do. If not because of my love of gaming, I would have already ditched Windows a long time ago as there is nothing else that Linux cannot do out of all the things I do on a regular basis.
