Currently Technical Supervisor at RT&T on Eglin AFB. Previously Senior Electronics Technician at DRS TCS in Fort Walton Beach for 5 years. Served 26 years in the USAF in Metrology. Converted to Ubuntu in 2014, and learning slowly ever since. Currently running 20.04.

Most often seen on the back of my 2014 GL1800C Honda Valkyrie motorcycle; to work and back, weekends, rain or shine. I also have a 1976 Honda GL1000 GoldWing ("Naked Wing"), 1977 CB750A HondaMatic and 1988 GL1500 GoldWing.

Learned basic programming on our school district server from dumb terminals, using Basic and C. Spent a little time with an Apple IIC, then moved on to Amigas. Got my first DOS box, a 286, in 1984, then moved into Windows 1n 1991 when the Air Force bought a calibration system using Windows 3.0. Did simple programming in the Air Force using HPBasic, Turbo Pascal, ATLAS and Assembly to create simple tools to aid in my work. Had a short stint with LabView when the Air Force evaluated it for use in the calibration labs.

Have not done much with programming since then, I now enjoy traveling on our motorcycles with my wife, SCUBA diving, working on our motorcycles and making or building small electronic devices for our motorcycles.
