Just a geek in a family of geeks except for my wife, who thinks the conversations among my two sons and myself are hilarious (she doesn't understand but perhaps 3% of them) and wants to record them to send to her sister so she can laugh as well. My focus is cybersecurity and high assurance operating systems. I am starting an open source project hosted on GitHub (HA-Linux) to recreate my security architecture from B2 Trusted DG/UX in Linux. I'm just working on the formal documentation and will start looking for others to help build this project probably at the end of 2017 (it's a LOT of documentation).

Outside of my development efforts, I love to hike and ski and snowshoe and mountaineer in the beautiful Wasatch Range and Uinta Mountains here in Utah, preparing to climb Mt Shasta (CA) and King's Peak (UT) in May, teaching leadership to youth and adults and other stuff in Scouting, and singing in my choirs.
