I run a small biotech company with 4 co-owners. My specialty is biochemistry but I have been using Linux since the 1990s and I am proud to say that every computer at our lab runs Linux.
At home I use Ubuntu, at work I tend to use Fedora, idk why just happened that way.
APT is what keeps me from going to arch, though I have completed Linux From Scratch.
I am always learning, trying to learn new things about Linux / Open Source because I hate windows and will never let it anywhere near my business / house.
On the side I drive for a ride share company, mainly to get out away from the computer screen for a bit.
My favorite languages are python and C++, I dislike java and am starting to learn about ruby.
I am very interested in system administration, VPNs, and remote monitoring of sensors.
I am not a coder but I know how to code, and do it when it needs to be done.
I also am very into mobile tech and run lineage 14.1 on my 3 yr old oneplus one as a daily driver and it works just fine(most of the time).
I wouldn't call myself an expert about anything to do with computers specifically, more that I know a little about a lot, and am happy to try to answer questions for people.
