Yes, that shouldn't be relevant to this website, as this is primarily just about lunix, but if you don't know what is going on inside your computer, then you can know all about the software but that doesn't help you if you have a hardware problem.

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Laptop - i5 second generation, 4GB Memory, and 500GB Hard drive.

I just recently build up an server running Ubuntu 10.04, running and i5 3.3GHz, 16GB Memory, and 1TB Hard drive, with 750 Watt power supply - 10 users using it at the same time as terminals.
