The 1929 New York Giants season was the franchise's 47th season. The team finished in third place in the National League with an 84–67 record, 13½ games behind the Chicago Cubs. In a home game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 5 at the Polo Grounds, the Giants used the first public address system to be used in a major league ballpark.[1]
